WATCH: Democrat Senator Ruben Gallego Throws “Best Friend” Swalwell Under the Bus, Denies He Is in Viral Video of Swalwell and Sex Worker

Senator Ruben Gallego turned on his good friend Eric Swalwell after initially defending him on social media.
On Monday, Gallego began to distance himself from Swalwell shortly before the California Democrat announced his resignation from Congress amid allegations of sexual assault.
“I want to be clear: I had no knowledge of the allegations of assault, harassment, and predatory behavior against Eric Swalwell,” Gallego said ahead of Swalwell’s resignation.
“I trusted someone who I believed was a friend, but it is now clear that he is not the person I thought I knew,” he added.
On Tuesday, after a fifth Swalwell accuser came forward at a press conference in Beverly Hills and accused the California Democrat of violently raping her at a West Hollywood hotel in 2018, Gallego threw Swalwell under the buss
“Eric Swalwell lied to all of us. He lies to the most powerful people in this country. And they trusted him,” Gallego told reporters.
“They trusted him with the most sensitive spots in our government. Whether it was a Judiciary Committee, Intel Committee, or impeaching Donald Trump,” he said.
“And that clouded my judgment, my friendship with him, our family’s friendship together with him clouded my judgment, and I was wrong,” Gallego said.
Gallego claimed that Swalwell was living a ‘double life’ but conceded he heard rumors that Swalwell was ‘flirty’ with women.

A reporter asked Gallego if he was in the hotel room and sitting next to Swalwell on the bed in the leaked video.
Martin Shkreli and Jack Posobiec released videos of Swalwell sitting on a bed with a sex worker. A man who resembles Gallego is briefly seen sitting on the bed.

“Was that you sitting next to him?” a reporter asked Gallego.
Gallego said that was not him in the video.
“No, I was not sitting next to him, I was not in the room,” the Democrat Senator said.
“I didn’t know where it happened. Right-wing political operatives are pushing this narrative that somehow I was in that room with uh Eric Swalwell and that is an absolute lie,” he said

Rep. Anna Paulina Warns Of ‘Major Purge’ Coming to Capitol Hill — Says At Least Three More Members Could Be Exposed (VIDEO)

Rep. Anna Paulina during her interview with Catherine Herridge.
Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has warned of a “major purge” coming on Capitol Hill of lawmakers with “skeletons in their closets.”
Following the spectacular fall of California Rep. Eric Swalwell following a host of sexual assault and rape allegations, there is growing speculation that other individuals may be next.
Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales also resigned his seat last week amid ongoing criticism about his affair with an aide who later committed suicide.
In an interview with reporter Catherine Herridge, Rep. Luna said that she beleives three others may face similar accusations in the following weeks.
Here is a transcript of the exchange:
HOST: Do other house members have skeletons in their closets?
LUNA: Yes.
HOST: How many?
LUNA: I’d say right now there are about two House members, likely one Senator.
But I think this right now is freaking a lot of people out and also this is something we have been pushing for, but we wanted to release the Congressional slush fund.
HOST: Is this the beginning of a major purge?
LUNA: I think so.
HOST: How many members are we talking about?
LUNA: Well as of right now there is probably about htree between the House and the Senate.
HOST: Three? But there could be more?
LUNA: There could be more. There is always rumors but rumos aren’t always true. It is what is in evidence.

In his resignation notice posted earlier this week, Swalwell said he would give up his seat but continued to deny any criminal wrongdoing.
“I am deeply sorry to my family, staff, and constituents for mistakes in judgment I’ve made in my past,” Swalwell said.
“However, I must take responsibility and ownership for the mistakes I did make,” he said.
Swalwell had been leading the polls for the California governor’s race before the scandal broke.
“Expelling anyone in Congress without due process, within days of an allegation being made, is wrong,” he continued.
”But it’s also wrong for my constituents to have me distracted from my duties. Therefore, I plan to resign my seat in Congress.”

Iranian Woman with a US Green Card Busted at LAX for Trafficking Drones, Bombs, and Millions of Rounds of Ammo on Behalf of the Tehran Regime

A 44-year-old Iranian woman living in the United States with a green card was arrested Saturday night at Los Angeles International Airport for allegedly brokering massive arms deals for the Iranian government, including sales of armed drones, bombs, bomb fuses, and millions of rounds of ammunition destined for Sudan.
Shamim Mafi, who was living in Woodland Hills in Los Angeles, faces a federal charge under 50 U.S.C. § 1705 for violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act by facilitating the illegal export and sale of Iranian-made weapons.
If convicted, she faces a statutory maximum of 20 years in federal prison.
According to First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli for the Central District of California, Mafi allegedly used an Oman-registered company to arrange the transactions as recently as 2025.

One reported deal involved a contract worth more than $70 million for Iranian-made Mohajer-6 armed drones supplied by Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics.
Prosecutors also allege phone records show Mafi had direct contact with Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security between December 2022 and June 2025.
The alleged gunrunner has posted glamorous photos of herself from all over the world. In one photo, she is seen posing in a $100,000 Mercedes-Benz roadster.
The New York Post reports:
Mafi, who left Iran in 2013 and became a permanent resident of the US in 2016 under the Obama administration, allegedly used an Oman-registered company, Atlas International Business, to broker weapons deals as recently as 2025, according to court records.
Among the sales was a contract for more than $70 million for Iranian-made Mohajer-6 armed drones from Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics.
The drones, along with 55,000 bomb fuses, were transferred in deals with the Sudanese Ministry of Defense, which has been fighting in a bloody civil war since 2023.
Iran has been repeatedly accused of violating a United Nations arms embargo amid the Sudanese civil war, with its drones spotted in use by the government forces.
Mafi was taken into custody at LAX on Saturday night and is expected to make her initial appearance Monday afternoon in U.S. District Court in downtown Los Angeles.

Supreme Court Justices Alito and Thomas Not Planning to Retire This Year

Conservative Supreme Court Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas are not planning to retire this year amid speculation that Trump could appoint at least one more justice to the high court.
Fox News reported that Alito, a George W. Bush nominee, is not expected to step down from the bench.
CBS News later reported that Clarence Thomas is not planning on retiring this year either.
President Trump’s interview with Maria Bartiromo sparked chatter about the justices.
Trump told Bartiromo that he is prepared to name replacements.
“It could be two, could be three, could be one. I don’t know — I’m prepared to do it, but when you mention Alito, he is a great justice,” Trump told Maria Bartiromo this week.

Fox News reported:
Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito is not expected to step down this term and has already hired all four law clerks for the upcoming annual term despite speculation the high court justice was weighing retirement, multiple sources said.
Alito “is not stepping down this term and is in the process of hiring the rest of his clerks for the next term,” a source told Fox News Digital. Two other sources told Fox News that Alito is not retiring this term, which lasts until the Supreme Court’s new year kicks off in October.
Justices tend to hire their clerks two to three years in advance, although that process is not necessarily indicative of a justice’s retirement plans.
The revelation that Alito is reportedly not planning to step down comes after President Donald Trump told Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo he is “prepared” to appoint up to three Supreme Court justices if vacancies arise. Trump added he has a shortlist of nominees in mind, though he did not mention any names.
