A Chicago resident told Fox News on Saturday that he was threatened by a mob of leftists, who wished death on him and threatened to attack after he stood up for ICE agents who they were similarly wishing death upon ahead of incoming ICE raids in the city.
“I seen a bunch of people outside wishing death upon the ICE agents, saying, you’re going to be dead in two years. I hope you’re murdered. I hope somebody abducts you. I hope somebody kills you,” the man said.
“And I said, you should never be wishing death upon anybody. Regardless of what your political stance is, regardless what your beliefs are, whether you’re not you think that the ICE agents are justified in their actions or not, you should never with death upon anybody.”
This, he says, was met with threats and more calls for death against him. “They told me that they wish I was dead, that I should be gone, that I should leave, they were threatening to assault me,” he continued.
Earlier in the day, President Trump trolled the local officials with an Apocalypse Now meme that read, “Chicago about to find out why it’s called the Department of WAR.”

This comes as Chicago braces for potential National Guard deployment, with Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson taking countermeasures to portray the city as safe, despite the high numbers of shootings and murders occurring every week.
It was revealed last week that 200 Homeland Security Officials will be deployed in Chicago as soon as this week and will potentially stay for the entire month of September.
The enforcement operations will be centered on arresting illegal aliens in the sanctuary state of Illinois, but the National Guard could be used to quell violent rioters, as done in Los Angeles, or to deter crime, as we are seeing in Washington, DC.

DHS officials are reportedly being housed at the Naval Station Great Lakes in North Chicago through the month of September, at least until October 5.
