According to a report from Brussels Signal, European Commission has shamelessly activated the so-called “rapid response” mechanism under the oppressive Digital Services Act (DSA), a naked attempt to meddle in Hungary’s internal democratic affairs and tilt the playing field against the nationalist government of Viktor Orbán.

This heavy-handed measure will stay in place until a full week after Hungarians cast their ballots, supposedly to fight “disinformation” and foreign meddling. In reality, it’s a blatant power grab by Brussels elites who cannot stomach a sovereign nation refusing to bow to their federalist agenda.

Major platforms like Meta and TikTok are now forced to team up with so-called “fact-checkers” and “civil society” groups—many fattened by EU cash handouts—to hunt down and suppress content Brussels dislikes. This creates a corrupt echo chamber: Brussels funds the watchdogs, sets the rules, and then enforces them through Big Tech. No wonder impartiality has gone out the window.

The Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) in Brussels, via its Democracy Interference Observatory, has exposed this sham as anything but neutral. They warn it’s a politically motivated intervention designed to pre-emptively delegitimize the election if the Hungarian people dare to re-elect their patriotic leadership. The funding ties make it crystal clear: these are not independent guardians of truth, but paid extensions of the same Brussels machine targeting Hungary.

Leading conservative thinker Gregory Szilvay hit the nail on the head, calling this “definite interference in the Hungarian campaign.” He rightly points out that the liberal-federalist overlords in Brussels simply do not trust the Hungarian people to think for themselves. They treat ordinary Hungarians like children incapable of judging facts and forming their own opinions—classic arrogance from an out-of-touch elite desperate to impose their globalist vision.

Look at the suspiciously boosted opposition figure Péter Magyar and his Tisza Party—suddenly enjoying massive online visibility and favorable metrics, while pro-government voices face throttling and shadow bans. Claims of rigged digital reach are hard to dismiss when platforms dance to Brussels’ tune.

Then come the dubious polls, churned out by outfits entangled in EU funding networks and globalist foundations. They push a narrative of “Magyar surging ahead,” but many Hungarians smell manipulation: amplify selective numbers to set expectations, then cry foul if the real vote doesn’t match the script. It’s the same tired playbook used to question legitimate outcomes elsewhere.

And the “Russian interference” bogeyman? Once again trotted out with thin evidence, just like in Romania and Moldova—perfect pretext to justify Brussels’ iron fist.

Meanwhile, massive Peace Marches flood Hungarian streets with hundreds of thousands rallying for peace, sovereignty, and against war-mongering external pressures. Real grassroots support for Orbán’s principled stand remains rock-solid, especially in the countryside and smaller cities the international media ignores.

Hungarians are fed up with meddling from Brussels and elsewhere. Polls inside the country show overwhelming rejection of dictates on energy, migration, and foreign policy that would crush families and sovereignty.

This DSA crackdown isn’t about protecting democracy—it’s about controlling and limiting it. Brussels fears a free Hungarian people choosing their own path over EU conformity. As April 12 approaches, the real question isn’t just who wins—it’s whether Brussels will let the authentic voice of the Hungarian nation be heard at all.

Hungary must stand firm: no foreign interference, no Brussels censorship, no surrender of sovereignty. The patriots will decide Hungary’s future—not the eurocrats.

UPDATE: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is setting the record straight and dismantling the narrative pushed by Democrats.

According to DHS, the incident had nothing to do with any recent airport security deployments and was part of standard immigration enforcement:

“This arrest of ILLEGAL ALIENS occurred yesterday on March 22, 2026 — BEFORE ICE officers were deployed to airports to bolster TSA efforts. ICE officers arrested Angelina Lopez-Jimenez and Wendy Godinez-Lopez at the San Francisco International Airport.

“These illegal aliens had a final removal order of removal from an immigration judge since 2019. While being escorted to the international terminal for processing, Lopez-Jimenez attempted to flee and resisted law enforcement officers. ICE is working as quickly as possible to repatriate the family unit to their home country of Guatemala.”

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents detained an illegal alien from Guatemala Sunday night at San Francisco International Airport, triggering a full-blown meltdown from the leftist mob.

According to multiple eyewitness videos now circulating online, federal agents moved in swiftly at SFO to apprehend a woman suspected of being in the country illegally.

What followed was a scene all too familiar in Democrat-run strongholds: a chaotic mob screaming at law enforcement, filming every second, and attempting to interfere with a lawful federal operation.

Footage shows San Francisco Police Department officers forming a perimeter around ICE agents as they carried out the detention.

Despite clear efforts to maintain order, agitators in the crowd shouted demands for badge numbers, hurled accusations, and attempted to obstruct the operation.

At the center of the chaos, the woman, seen resisting, was ultimately placed into a wheelchair by plainclothes federal agents.

Handcuffs appeared to be visible as she struggled, while a young child walked beside her, crying, a heartbreaking image that activists immediately seized on to fuel outrage online.

According to a Reddit post that posted the video:

“Very tired from traveling so this post will be rushed and might be kinda messy. Was leaving SFO around 10:30PM last night 3/22 when I heard yelling and saw a huge crowd of people. There were at least a dozen San Francisco police officers and a ridiculous amount of people gathered in a circle, some recording or talking on the phone.

When I got closer, I saw a woman kneeling on the ground next to a couch/bench with a little girl and the police officers were basically surrounding her, facing away so seemingly keeping the crowd away/hiding her from the crowd.

I asked a woman what happened, and she said she was there from the very beginning and saw it all. There were apparently two men in black + wearing backpacks who ran up and grabbed her passport, shoved her(?) and were keeping her there.

She seemed to not know for sure, but she suspected that they were ICE agents and the police officers were there to protect them. I could see at least one of these men talking with police officers. Just a few minutes later, I heard yelling again and when I looked back, people were running up and filming while police officers were trying to keep them away.

I saw the same woman as before now in a wheelchair in a very uncomfortable position (seemingly being shoved into it) and the small girl walking alongside her and crying. The two men in black were pushing the wheelchair/walking with her and there were a small group of officers/airport workers(?) going with her as well.

People were yelling that she was being taken from her family, telling her to hug her kid, damning the ICE agents, etc. I wasn’t really sure what was happening, so I filmed a video on my phone at a bad angle(I’ll try to attach it). Afterwards, I asked a couple people if they knew what happened and they kinda confirmed it was ICE and they took her away for “questioning”.

Does anyone have more information on what happened or any different angles? There were people much closer than me who definitely got better videos, so hopefully those come out soon.

I was already tired from traveling and was obviously not expecting to see something like this. I really hope her and her family are going to be okay. I’d like to hear if anyone has more info or if anyone else was there who saw/heard something I didn’t.”

DHS told Fox News that the viral incident at SFO airport involved ICE arresting a Guatemalan family that had been under a deportation order since 2019.

DHS statement to FOX:

“This arrest occurred BEFORE ICE officers were even deployed to airports to bolster TSA efforts to help American travelers who are facing hours long lines across the country.

“On March 22, 2026, ICE officers arrested Angelina Lopez-Jimenez and Wendy Godinez-Lopez at the San Francisco International Airport. The family has an outstanding final removal order of removal from an immigration judge since 2019.

“While being escorted to the international terminal for processing, Lopez-Jimenez attempted to flee and resisted law enforcement officers. ICE is working as quickly as possible to repatriate the family unit to their home country of Guatemala.”

The San Francisco Police Department was quick to distance itself from immigration enforcement, a predictable move given the city’s sanctuary status.

“Consistent with our City Charter, state law, and SFPD department policy, we do not assist in the enforcement of civil federal immigration laws,” SFPD said in a statement.

However, they admitted officers were on scene after responding to a 911 call and were present to maintain public safety, effectively acting as a buffer between federal agents and an increasingly hostile crowd.

San Francisco International Airport spokesperson Doug Yakel acknowledged the incident in a statement to SFGATE:

“We understand federal officers were transporting two individuals on an outbound flight when this incident occurred… We believe this is an isolated incident and have no reason to suspect broader enforcement action at SFO.”

“The airport’s role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility for all passengers and staff.”
