MSNBC Apologizes for Pundit’s ‘Unacceptable’ Comments Blaming Charlie Kirk’s ‘Hate Speech’ for Assassination, Suggesting He Was Shot by Excited Supporter

MSNBC has issued an apology for “unacceptable” comments made by one of their analysts following Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

Kirk was brutally murdered in broad daylight during a Comeback tour event he was hosting at Utah Valley University.

He was just 31 years old.

Moments after the shooting was reported, the network hosted the Democratic political consultant Matthew Dowd, who accused Kirk of propagating “hate speech.”

But following up with what was just said, he’s been one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech, or sort of aimed at certain groups,” he remarked.

”And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions.”

At another point, Dowd suggested that his death may have been caused by a supporter shooting their gun in celebration.

“We don’t know the full details of this,” he remarked. “We don’t know if this was a supporter shooting their gun off in celebration. So, we have no idea.”

MSNBC president Rebecca Kutler has now issued a response to the backlash over the comments.

“During our breaking news coverage of the shooting of Charlie Kirk, Matthew Dowd made comments that were inappropriate, insensitive and unacceptable,” she wrote.

”We apologize for his statements, as has he. There is no place for violence in America, political or otherwise.”

Whether MSNBC decides to fire Dowd for his disgusting comments remains to be seen.

President Trump did not hold anything back on Wednesday during his speech to global leaders at the World Economic Forum.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump announced on Tuesday that he will meet with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and “the various parties” on his planned acquisition of Greenland, which he described as “imperative for National and World Security.”

“I am committed to finding a way forward on Greenland. Can’t wait to see you,” Rutte said to Trump in a text message that the President shared.

During his speech, President Trump took a swipe at Canada’s far left prime minister. Trump called out Mark Carney for acting so cocky.

President Trump: We’re going to be defending Canada. Canada gets a lot of freebies from us, by the way. They should be grateful also, but they’re not. I watched your Prime Minister yesterday. He wasn’t so grateful. They should be grateful to us. Canada lives because of the United States. Remember that, Mark, the next time you make your statements?

Comer Delivers Blistering Statement Ahead of Vote to Advance Clinton Contempt Resolutions (VIDEO)

House Judiciary Chairman James Comer on Wednesday delivered a blistering opening statement ahead of a vote to advance the contempt resolutions against the Clintons.

Bill and Hillary Clinton snubbed congressional subpoenas for the Committee’s Epstein probe and refused to appear for close-door depositions last week.

Comer said contempt proceedings will begin on Wednesday after the Clintons made new outrageous demands.

“Facing contempt of Congress, the Clintons’ lawyers made an untenable offer: that I travel to New York for a conversation with President Clinton only. No official transcript would be recorded and other Members of Congress would be barred from participating. I have rejected the Clintons’ ridiculous offer,” Comer said on Tuesday.

“The Clintons’ latest demands make clear they believe their last name entitles them to special treatment. The House Oversight Committee’s bipartisan subpoenas require the Clintons to appear for depositions that are under oath and transcribed. Former President Clinton has a documented history of parsing language to evade questions, responded falsely under oath, and was impeached and suspended from the practice of law as a result,” Comer said.

“The absence of an official transcript is an indefensible demand that is insulting to the American people who demand answers about Epstein’s crimes. As part of our investigation, the House Oversight Committee has released transcripts of interviews with former U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr and former U.S. Secretary of Labor Alex Acosta, which has provided much needed transparency to the public. Without a formal record, Americans would be left to rely on competing accounts of what was said,” Comer added.

“Former Secretary Clinton’s on-the-record testimony is necessary for the Committee’s investigation given her knowledge from her time as Secretary of State of the federal government’s work to counter international sex-tracking rings, her personal knowledge of Ms. Maxwell, and her family’s relationship with Mr. Epstein,” he added.

On Wednesday, Comer blasted the Clintons as he sat in front of photos of Bill Clinton in a hot tub with Epstein’s ‘madam’ Ghislaine Maxwell.

“Subpoenas are not mere suggestions. They carry the force of law and require compliance. Former President Clinton and Secretary Clinton were legally required to appear for depositions before this committee. They refused,” Comer said.

“Since issuing the subpoenas, this committee has acted in good faith. We’ve offered flexibility on scheduling. The response we received was not cooperation, but defiance, marked by repeated delays, excuses, and obstruction,” Comer said.

“Today, the Clintons must be held accountable for their actions. And Democrats must support these measures or they will be exposed as hypocrites,” he added.

The resolutions are expected to advance.
