Chaos Erupts as House Leaders Reject Senate-Passed Bill to Fund DHS as Senators Flee DC for Two-Week Recess (VIDEO)

House Freedom Caucus leaders on Friday rejected a Senate-passed DHS funding bill as Senators leave town for a two-week Easter recess.

The Senate very early Friday morning, after a marathon session, unanimously approved a voice-vote package to fund the Department of Homeland Security, except for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and key parts of Customs and Border Protection.

Democrats flat-out refused to support full funding without gutting immigration raids and deportation operations.

Instead of fighting for the full funding, Thune and the Senate GOP folded in the dead of night, when no one was watching.

Thune then left town with a private escort.

Representative Chip Roy (R-TX) on Friday morning said the Freedom Caucus leaders are going to flat-out reject the Senate’s bill.

“What the Senate just sent over to the House is so laughably bad – uh, we’re rejecting it out of hand,” Chip Roy said.

He continued, “They sent over a bill that’s not gonna fund ICE and Border Patrol and stand with the great men and women that are defending our country. We reject that. We’re gonna stand along side our law enforcement personnel. We’re gonna have a full-throated debate. We’re gonna decide what we’re gonna do but suffice it to say, we’re gonna stand with those who are standing up for us for defending our country. We need to fully fund them… we’re not gonna move this Senate bill.”

“We’re gonna move something better and we’re gonna send it back to the Senate,” he added.

Many Senators have already left town so if the House agrees on a bill it will be stalled in the Senate – once again.

Chip Roy, flanked by other Freedom Caucus members like Andy Biggs, blasted the Senate bill in remarks to the media.

“It is absolutely offensive to the people that we represent that the Senate would send over a bill that doesn’t fund Border Patrol and the core components of ICE,” he said.

“Could the Senate be any more lazy than to send to us a bill that doesn’t do the job and then leave town? So we’re going to stand up and say NO to that. We’re going to send back a bill that’s responsible to the American people,” he said.

A clip posted by Abolitionists Rising on April 17, 2026, showed two college students debating about abortion.

The radicalization of hysterical-sounding young leftist women alone justifies the dismantling of the American education system.

Conversely, the rightward shift among Gen Z men offers hope for the future.

In a short video posted across social media, a backpack-wearing young man, surrounded by other backpack-wearing young men, calmly explained to two young female abortion supporters why their bodily autonomy argument cannot hold water.

“I’m against you guys telling women what to do with their bodies,” one young woman said.

“We can’t have a moral opinion?” one of the men asked.

“Not on my body,” the woman replied.

Then, a very calm and rational young man interjected.

“Wait, I just have a question for you,” he said. “So, the Holocaust. Was the Holocaust wrong?”

Warning: This video contains vulgar language and profanity that may be offensive to some viewers.

At that point, a second young woman grew animated and acted as if the young man had asked something unreasonable.

“The Holocaust was f***ing wrong, yeah, okay,” she replied.

“Yeah, exactly,” the young man said. “You’re condemning Nazis for killing Jews when you’re not a Nazi or a Jew. It’s something that doesn’t involve you. How can you have a moral opinion on something that doesn’t involve you and then tell me — ?”

The first young woman, now louder and more agitated, interrupted and threw the young man’s question back at him.

“How can you have a moral opinion on something that doesn’t involve you?” she shot back. “You are a man. So just f***ing keep your d*** in your pants until you’re married.”

The young man, to his credit, ignored the vulgar outburst.

“You just proved my point,” he replied.

“What is your point?” the first woman asked, hand on her hip in a dismissive posture.

“I’m saying that you can have a moral opinion on things that don’t directly involve you. You’re saying that the Holocaust is wrong; it’s because murder is wrong. Me saying that abortion is wrong is also saying that murder is wrong.”

The exchange was part of a street outreach from Abolitionists Rising. One of the men with the Christian anti-abortion group wore a shirt that read, “Stop Ignoring Child Sacrifice.”

In sum, one could scarcely imagine a clip that more thoroughly encapsulates the modern abortion debate.

On one side, we see hysterical and brainwashed young women ranting about bodily autonomy. On the other side, we see a young man calmly explaining why he has a right to insist that they not murder their babies.

Moreover, in tone and substance, the young man sounded like slain conservative Christian icon Charlie Kirk. The apparent college setting accentuated the comparison.

If this clip is any indication, then Kirk left America’s young men in a very good place.

The Democrat party is going to continue to push more and more radical candidates because their base loves it.

They are like a dog with a taste for red meat. They aren’t going to go back to running “normal” candidates.

The latest squad-endorsed radical headed to Congress is Analilia Mejia who said that Jesus Christ was likely a democratic socialist.

She also said that toilets are socialism. There is a joke there somewhere.

The Gateway Pundit reported,

Far-left activist Analilia Mejia has just been elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District, defeating Republican Joe Hathaway in the special election to fill the seat vacated by Mikie Sherrill.

This win narrows the already razor-thin Republican majority in the House and hands a powerful platform to one of the most extreme voices in the Democrat Party.

As The Gateway Pundit reported back in March, Mejia is no moderate. This Squad-endorsed Democratic Socialist has a long history of unhinged statements, including claiming that Jesus Christ was “likely a Democratic Socialist” and bizarrely declaring that public toilets are a form of socialism that critics should stop using if they oppose big government.

Mejia, a former national political director for Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign and co-executive director of the far-left Center for Popular Democracy, ran on a full-blown socialist wishlist that reads like a blueprint for economic destruction:

  • Abolish ICE entirely and open the floodgates to illegal immigration.
  • Universal healthcare and childcare for all because nothing says “affordability” like making every American taxpayer foot the bill.
  • A punishing $25 federal minimum wage that will crush small businesses, spike unemployment, and drive up costs for everyone.
  • Massive tax increases on the wealthy and corporations to fund her giveaway schemes.
  • Cancel all student loan debt and provide free tuition for college

Democrats are going to continue to run these sorts of candidates because their base now demands it.

Elections have consequences, and the consequence of allowing these people to hold serious power would be the total destruction of our country as we know it.

‘Useless’ allies not needed anymore, says Trump.

Be it in the Russia-Ukraine war – where they want it to continue for as long as possible – or in the US military confrontation with Iran – where they betrayed their main NATO ally – one thing you can always expect from Euro-Globalist failing leaders: meetings – lots of meetings.

The delusional European ‘powers’ make purely symbolic decisions that yield no practical outcome.

The current cast of Globalist leaders shares one thing in common: dismal poll numbers and historic levels of voter rejection.

So, they try to gain some clout by meddling in foreign issues as much as possible.

And that’s how they find themselves ridiculously discussing the opening of Hormuz AFTER it is already opened by Iran.

The result was inevitable: they got told off by Donald J. Trump yet again, treated as ‘useless’.

The US president suggested that European nations and others should ‘stay away’ from the region ‘unless they just want to load up their ships with oil’.”
