BTS Shows Off Boss Dance Moves in ‘2.0’ Music Video Inspired by the Movie ‘Oldboy’

Published

After returning from their four-year hiatus, BTS is making sure that ARMY is being fed. The K-pop superstars dropped a new music video for a second ARIRANG song in only two weeks on Wednesday (April 1), and they’re drawing inspiration from a classic film for the “2.0” visual.

The cinematic music video is inspired by South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook’s 2003 film Oldboy. The visual begins with the septet, dressed in sharp suits and leather jackets, exiting an elevator and encountering a group of thugs in a dark, grungy corridor. Rather than fighting with a hammer like the protagonist in the film, BTS’ RM, Jung Kook, V, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin and Jin employ their epic dance skills and music to ward off their opponents.

The video then transitions to a different dark hallway where the band continues its choreographed number, this time without the presence of the thugs. From the corridors, the septet ends up in a dirty bathroom where they dance in front of the mirrors and sing the chorus.

Then, to make it a true “2.0” moment, the K-pop stars return to the elevator from whence they came and quickly change into new, modern outfits — calling back to the song’s lyrics, “We on that brand new” — and close out the video in a high-rise building setting.

The band first teased the new video on Tuesday (March 31) with a 30-second preview. The latest visual comes just days after the album and lead single “SWIM” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100, respectively.

Lady Gaga’s Top 40 Billboard Hot 100 Hits, From ‘Just Dance’ to ‘Die With a Smile’

Published

on

By

Ever since she topped the Billboard Hot 100 with her debut track “Just Dance” in 2008, Lady Gaga has cemented herself as one of the greatest pop stars of the 21st century.

The success of “Just Dance” was not at all a fluke, it was actually an indicator of what was to come. Her follow-up track “Poker Face” also hit No. 1 on the Hot 100. Her debut album The Fame debuted at 17 on the Billboard 200 and rose to No. 2 on the chart after release of The Fame Monster. In the years after “Just Dance,” Gaga would continue to release some of the defining pop tracks of the century with songs like “Born This Way” and “Bad Romance.”

Lady Gaga has also made waves outside of pop music. Since her debut, she has released not one but two Grammy-winning jazz duet albums with legend Tony Bennett. In 2012, she started the Born This Way Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on tackling issues of youth mental health and bullying. In 2018, she wrote music for and starred in Bradley Cooper’s A Star is Born remake, earning her first Oscar nominations and a win for best original song. The following year, Gaga launched her makeup company Haus Labs, which has gone on to win several beauty awards for their innovative products.

Now, nearly two decades into her illustrious career, Gaga continues to ascend. In 2025, she released her seventh solo studio album MAYHEM, which topped the Billboard 200 and spawned six Hot 100 hits, including the No. 1 Bruno Mars duet “Die With a Smile.” The single spent five weeks at No. 1 and 60 weeks on the chart, and also made history as the first ever year-end Hot 100 No. 1 duet by a female and male soloist each in lead roles in the chart’s history. On top of the charts success, MAYHEM also brought Gaga her 15th and 16th Grammys with wins for best dance pop recording (for “Abracadabra”) and best pop vocal album at the 2026 awards.

On Saturday (March 28), Gaga will be celebrating her 40th birthday. To celebrate her milestone birthday, let’s take a trip down memory lane and look at Mother Monster’s 40 biggest Hot 100 hits thus far, below.

Lady Gaga’s biggest Billboard Hot 100 hits chart is based on performance on the weekly Billboard Hot 100, through the March 21, 2026, ranking. Songs are ranked based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at No. 100 earning the least. Due to changes in chart methodology over the years, eras are weighted to account for different chart turnover rates over various periods.

A Timeline of the Consequences Ye Has Faced for His ‘WLM’ Shirts & Antisemitic Hate Speech

Published

Ye (formerly Kanye West) is facing very public reckoning. The “Hurricane” rapper made headlines at his Yeezy Paris Fashion Week show on Oct. 3, 2022, for wearing a shirt emblazoned with the phrase “White Lives Matter” on its back, and featuring Black models in the shirt. The phrase is one that was adopted by neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups in response to the Black Lives Matter movement, and the rapper has been facing backlash from both fans and celebrities online.

But the controversy did not stop for there for Ye, who has doubled down on his comments on Instagram and later took to Twitter (now X) to use antisemitic rhetoric in his posts, then continued to amplify his hate speech in interviews. The reaction from the public was swift, with several companies — including The Gap, Balenciaga and more — terminating their relationships and brand deals with the rapper.

Forbes reported that Ye has lost his billionaire status after Adidas announced Oct. 25, 2022, that it was dropping his deal, and that the brand does not tolerate hate speech. The move, according to the publication, put Ye’s net worth at $400 million and resulted in his removal from Forbes‘ billionaires list.

Since then, Adidas has opened an internal investigation after several former employees accused West of inappropriate workplace conduct during meetings with Adidas employees. People in his orbit, from former girlfriend Julia Fox to collaborator Pusha T, have also distanced themselves from him. Furthermore, Ye’s Nov. 22, 2022, dinner with Donald Trump and white nationalist Nick Fuentes was widely denounced, even by Trump’s former vice president, Mike Pence.

From brands and scrapped documentaries, to airplay declines of his music catalogue, his later apologies and more, here are the consequences Kanye West has faced due to his “WLM” and antisemitic remarks and hate speech.

*Editor’s Note: After an Oct. 8, 2022, tweet in which he announced he was going “death con [sic] 3 on Jewish people,” Kanye West (Ye) has repeatedly doubled down on antisemitic hate speech, even going so far as to praise Hitler, a man responsible for the systematic murder of six million Jews during the Holocaust. This arrives at a troubling time when antisemitism is on the rise, with the Anti-Defamation League noting a 34% year-over-year increase in antisemitic incidents (assault, harassment and vandalism) in America in 2021. Many companies have cut business ties with the rapper/fashion designer, while numerous musicians, friends and politicians have condemned his comments.

They are fearless, they are powerful and they are back with new music. K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM announced via Weverse on Sunday (April 12) the release date for their second studio album, PUREFLOW pt. 1 and the lead single “CELEBRATION.” PUREFLOW pt. 1 will drop on May 22 with the single coming out April 24.

The girl group began teasing its comeback on April 7 with a cryptic Instagram post with the hashtag “#TimeToCelebrate.” Fans were quick to react in the posts’ comments asking, “What are we celebrating,” while others responded simply with “Finally.”

Alongside the news of the upcoming album and single, the K-pop girl group also shared a video for the PUREFLOW on its social media channels and record label HYBE’s YouTube channel. In the video, the phrase “For we are not fearless, and therefore powerful” materializes before “powerful” transforms into the word PUREFLOW. The same message appears in the caption.

PUREFLOW is the follow-up record to LE SSERAFIM’s 2023 debut studio album, UNFORGIVEN, and the first release since its 2025 single “SPAGHETTI” featuring j-hope of BTS. Since the group’s debut in 2022 with EP FEARLESS, LE SSERAFIM has taken the stage at both the MTV VMAs and EMAs, achieved major chart success on the Billboard 200 and performed at Coachella in 2024. LE SSERAFIM’s second EP, ANTIFRAGILE, debuted and peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard 200, marking the band’s first time on the chart. UNFORGIVEN earned the group its first top 10 placement on the Billboard 200 when it rose to a peak of No. 6 in May 2023.
