Another wave of violence and murder swept through Chicago this weekend, with at least five dead by Sunday afternoon.

At least five murders and ten shooting-related injuries had been reported as of 2:08 pm ET.

Several teens as young as 15 years old were injured. One 19-year-old and one 16-year-old were transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Per CBS News:

At least five people have been killed and 10 others have been wounded in weekend shootings across Chicago.

The ages of the victims range from 15 to 44.

In the first shooting of the weekend, a 32-year-old employee of a business in the South Loop got into an argument with a 31-year-old man in the 1300 block of South Michigan Avenue around 9:30 p.m. on Friday.

This included at least two shooting incidents on Friday, starting at 9:30 pm local time, seven on Saturday, starting at approximately 1 am, and five on Sunday, starting shortly after midnight.

In nearly all cases, nobody was taken into custody.

This comes after 58 people were shot in Chicago last weekend, leaving eight dead.

The weekend before, at least six people were killed and 27 were injured, with victims as young as five years old, in shootings.

The Trump Administration has been planning federal law enforcement operations and potential National Guard deployment in the Windy City, citing the violent crime crisis.

It was recently revealed that 200 or more Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials would be deployed in the sanctuary city of Chicago to carry out deportations. The National Guard may also be deployed as a deterrent to rioters and criminals.

President Trump pointed to the data from the last two weekends and shredded a reporter at the White House earlier, when asked why he was targeting Chicago with law enforcement actions.

"Excuse me, do you know how many people were killed in Chicago last weekend? Eight. You know how many people were killed in Chicago the week before? Seven," he said. "You know how many people were wounded? 74 people were wounded. You think there’s worse than that? I don’t think so."

UK Islamic Centre’s “Silent Vigil” for Khamenei Overwhelmed by Hundreds of Iranians Cheering the Brutal Tyrant’s Death with Posters of Donald Trump

An Islamic centre in Manchester in the UK held a “silent vigil” following the death of Iran’s brutal tyrant, ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Over the weekend, President Trump confirmed that the joint US-Israel operation in Iran killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

He said his other option is to “end it in two or three days and tell the Iranians: ‘See you again in a few years if you start rebuilding [your nuclear and missile programs].”

As it turns out, the vigil wasn’t very silent. Hundreds of people, including Iranians and members of the local Jewish community, overwhelmed the vigil, turning it into a boisterous celebration.

Times of Israel reports:

Around 100 people were estimated by local media to have attended the vigil in the center of the British city for the late Iranian leader, whose 36-year rule over the Islamic Republic was marked by his hatred of the West — particularly the United States and Israel — and his regime’s brutal treatment of the Iranian public.

By contrast, local media estimated that between 300 and 400 people, including Iranians and members of the local Jewish community, gathered for a counter-protest across the street, with heavy police presence separating the two events.

*******

While local media described the mood at the candlelit vigil as “somber,” the scenes from across the street were cheerful and celebratory. There, people danced in circles to Persian music while waving the pre-1979 Iranian flag with the Lion and Sun emblem in the center. Israel’s Star of David flag and the British Union Jack fluttered among the crowd as well.

Some of the counter-protesters held posters of US President Donald Trump, and The Independent reported that at one point, the disco song “YMCA” by the Village People was blasted through the speakers, apparently in a nod to the US president who regularly plays the upbeat tune at his rallies.

Watch:

The “vigil” turned into a celebratory dance party.

As ‘mourners’ walked to the memorial, apparently distressed that a brutal dictator is no longer in power, some in the crowd openly mocked them with their celebrations.

“If you are going to cry, you need to go to the other side. We are so happy Khamene is dead.”

Indiscriminate Iranian Drone Attacks Now Targeting Azerbaijan Airport, Leaving Four Wounded – Caucasus Nation Vows To Retaliate (VIDEOS)

Trigger-happy Iranians may unite the region against them.

By now, everyone has understood that the mullahs’ regime in Iran has a strategy to try to involve all the region in a chaotic environment, thinking that this will force the regional powers that be to convince the US and Israel to stop the strikes and the Kurdish ground offensive.

That doesn’t seem to be working too well, since both Saudi Arabia and Qatar have already announced or enacted retaliatory strikes against Iran, with many others weighing in to do that, too.

If that was not enough, today it arises that Iran has hit Azerbaijan. Why? No one knows.

Watch: footage of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan International Airport hit by Iranian drones.

Just yesterday, President Ilham Aliyev was at the Iranian embassy mourning the passing of the Ayatollah Khamenei – and today, four Iranian drones attacked a regional airport.

So, it’s now being reported that Azerbaijan is preparing ‘unspecified retaliatory measures’ after the Iranian drones injured four people in the Nakhchivan exclave.

Reuters reported:

“Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev told a meeting of his Security Council: ‘We will not tolerate this unprovoked act of terror and aggression against Azerbaijan. Our Armed Forces have been instructed to prepare and implement appropriate retaliatory measures’.

‘We are ready to demonstrate our strength against any hostile force – and they should not forget this in Iran’, he said.”

Iran has denied having attacked Azerbaijan, and accused the Israelis of enacting a ‘false flag’ to incriminate them – but this is hard to believe since their own Foreign Minister openly admitted that the government does not control the military anymore, and that autonomous combat units are choosing targets unsanctioned by the regime.

Markwayne will make a spectacular Secretary of Homeland Security. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump said.

Earlier Thursday The Wall Street Journal, citing advisors, reported that President Trump was gearing up to fire Kristi Noem.

Separately, NBC News reported earlier Thursday morning that Trump was not happy with Kristi Noem’s performance during the Congressional hearings.

NBC News reported that Trump was unhappy with Noem about her decision to approve ad campaigns.

“Trump has been speaking this week with Republican lawmakers about his displeasure with Noem and has made clear in those conversations that he is considering replacing her, according to two Republican lawmakers, a person familiar with White House’s thinking and three people familiar with the president’s private discussions,” NBC News said.
