Pentagon Will Redirect Weapons Meant for Ukraine to the Middle East

Published

Department of War may have to prioritize the conflict in the Middle East over the never-ending war in Ukraine

Too many wars, not enough weapons and munitions.

The military operation in Iran has started affecting supplies ‌of the US military’s critical munitions, leading the Department of War to evaluate whether to redirect weapons that were originally meant for Ukraine to the Middle East.

Reuters reported:

“The weapons that could be redirected include air defense interceptor missiles purchased through a NATO initiative launched last year, under which partner countries buy U.S. arms for Kyiv, the report said.

The consideration comes as U.S. operations in the region intensify. Admiral Brad Cooper, the Central Command chief leading U.S. forces in the Middle East, said on Wednesday the U.S. had hit over 10,000 targets inside Iran and was on track to limit Iran’s ability to project power outside its borders.”

The Defense Department wants to ensure that US forces in the Middle East, as well as its allies, ‘have what they need to fight and win’.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte did not answer questions regarding the Pentagon’s plans.

Euronews reported:

“Rutte said it was not his place to comment on critical support, but assured that essential military equipment ‘continues to flow’ to Ukraine, alongside military intelligence from the US.

Ukrainian officials have openly voiced concerns that Washington’s attention and resources have been more focused on the Middle East.

These fears have been echoed by the European leaders. French President Emmanuel Macron said at the end of last week’s EU summit in Brussels that the Iran war ‘must not divert our attention from the support we give Ukraine’.”

The Pentagon has notified the US Congress that it will divert about $750 million in funding to ‘restock the US military’s own inventories, rather than to send additional assistance to Ukraine’.

POWDER KEG EUROPE: German Men Now Have to Ask the Army for Permission to Leave the Country for More Than Three Months

Welcome to the Bundeswehr, young men.

German fighting-age males are getting an early taste of the military escalation on the old continent.

We have been reporting here on TGP how the Euro-Globalist ‘leaders’ in Europe have been pushing their countries through a military buildup not seen since the end of the Cold War.

But it did take us by surprise just how fast Germany escalated their military service rules into draconian demands.

It has now been reported that German men ‘of fighting age’ must now ask the Bundeswehr for permission to leave the country for more than three months.

The Telegraph reported:

“The government has introduced a new military service scheme this year that stops short of conscription but requires men born from 2008 onwards to take a medical exam and fill in a survey about their fitness for service.

It has emerged that a clause in the law also requires men aged between 17 and 45 to obtain a permit from the Bundeswehr, the German armed forces, before leaving the country for extended periods.”

“The purpose of the new rule in Germany is to restrict the movements of men of fighting age in the event of a national crisis such as a war, which may require emergency conscription.

The rule says: ‘Male persons who have reached the age of 17 must obtain permission from the responsible career center of the German armed forces if they wish to leave the Federal Republic of Germany for more than three months’.”

Havana is moving.

As the US ramps up the pressure on the Caribbean island, the Cuban communist dictatorship announced that it has freed more than 2,000 ‌prisoners.

It’s the second prisoner amnesty this year alone, amid talks with the US administration of Donald J. Trump.

Reuters reported:

“Cuba’s state-run Granma newspaper called the measure a ‘humanitarian and sovereign gesture’.

The Cuban government has consistently rejected any suggestion it makes decisions under U.S. pressure. The timing of Thursday’s announcement, however, coincides with the most intense pressure campaign applied by Washington in decades.”

“The decision to free 2,010 prisoners “stemmed from a careful analysis of the crimes committed by those convicted, their good conduct in prison, the fact that they had served a significant portion of their sentence, and their state of health’, state media said.”

Murderers, drug-related felons, and pedophiles were excluded from the release.

“It was unclear how many of the prisoners subject to release following Thursday’s announcement have been held on charges related to anti-government protests. Many high-profile dissidents, and some protesters from island-wide July 11 protests, have been freed in recent agreements and amnesties announced by the Cuban government.”

Associated Press reported:

“Cuba’s government denies holding political prisoners, but the activist group Prisoners Defended registered 1,214 people imprisoned for political reasons in Cuba as of February.

[…] The release comes as the Trump administration has placed extreme pressure on Cuba’s government.”

Last month, Cuba released 51 people from the island’s prisons in an unexpected move negotiated with the Vatican.
