President Trump Asked Why the FBI Hasn’t Taken Over Guthrie Case After Pima County Sheriff Blocks FBI Access to Key Evidence (VIDEO)

President Trump on Friday was asked why the FBI hasn’t taken over the Nancy Guthrie case after the Pima County Sheriff blocked the FBI from accessing key evidence.
On Thursday night it was reported, that the FBI says the Democrat Pima County Sheriff is blocking evidence in the Nancy Guthrie disappearance case, according to Reuters and Fox News.
According to reporting from Fox News, DNA and a glove were found inside of Nancy Guthrie’s home and Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos is blocking the feds from examining the new evidence.
“The FBI wanted to send DNA and a glove found inside the house to their lab at Quantico Virginia for testing. The sheriff here, the Pima County Sheriff, insisted instead on sending it to a private lab that is based in Florida!” – Fox News reported.
“Now obviously you would think that there is nowhere better in the country, never even in the world, than the FBI’s lab in Quantico for that kind of testing,” Fox News said.
“The Guthrie family hoping tonight that the infighting stops and finding Nancy Guthrie really gets underway here, because that is what the Guthrie family wants to hear. Not the people are fighting about who has jurisdiction, but what they’re doing to find Nancy Guthrie,” the outlet reported.
On Friday, President Trump was asked why the FBI hasn’t taken over Guthrie case.
“Well, they took it over originally. You know, it was a local case originally. They didn’t want to let go of it, which is fine. It’s up to them. It’s really up to the community,” Trump told reporters.
“But ultimately, when the FBI got involved, I think, you know, progress has been made,” Trump said.
WATCH:
The FBI on Thursday evening released a new physical description of Nancy Guthrie’s abductor after a forensic analysis of the chilling porch surveillance video.
The FBI also increased its reward from $50,000 to $100,000 for information leading to the location of Nancy Guthrie and or the arrest of the individual(s) involved in her abduction.
Per the FBI: The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9” – 5’10” tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack.

JUST IN: DHS Terminates Temporary Protective Status for Yemen – Thousands Told to Go Home or Face Arrest
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on Friday that it is terminating Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for immigrants from Yemen, citing improvements in the country’s conditions.
Temporary Protected Status for Yemen was last extended by the Biden administration and former DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on September 4, 2024, through March 3, 2026. Originally intended for those fleeing civil war in 2015, the designation has repeatedly been extended.
“After reviewing conditions in the country and consulting with appropriate U.S. government agencies, I determined that Yemen no longer meets the law’s requirements to be designated for Temporary Protected Status,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.
“Allowing TPS Yemen beneficiaries to remain temporarily in the United States is contrary to our national interest. TPS was designed to be temporary, and this administration is returning TPS to its original temporary intent. We are prioritizing our national security interests and putting America first.”
DHS gave TPS beneficiaries from Yemen 60 days to self-deport or face deportation.
“After the effective date of the termination, the Department of Homeland Security may arrest and deport any Yemeni national without status once their TPS has been terminated. If an alien forces DHS to arrest and remove them, they may never be allowed to return to the United States,” the department said.
About 3,000 Yemeni’s now face deportation.
US Citizenship and Immigration Services issued the following press release this morning:
WASHINGTON – Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem today announced the termination of Temporary Protected Status for Yemen. The termination is effective 60 days after the notice is published in the Federal Register.
Yemen was initially designated for Temporary Protected Status on Sept. 3, 2015, based on a determination that there was an ongoing armed conflict and that, due to that conflict, requiring nationals of Yemen to return would pose a serious threat to their personal safety. Following the initial designation, DHS extended or extended and redesignated Yemen for TPS in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2024.
“After reviewing conditions in the country and consulting with appropriate U.S. government agencies, I determined that Yemen no longer meets the law’s requirements to be designated for Temporary Protected Status,” said Secretary Noem. “Allowing TPS Yemen beneficiaries to remain temporarily in the United States is contrary to our national interest. TPS was designed to be temporary, and this administration is returning TPS to its original temporary intent. We are prioritizing our national security interests and putting America first.”
TPS Yemen beneficiaries with no other lawful basis for remaining in the United States have 60 days to voluntarily depart the United States. We encourage aliens leaving the United States to use the U.S. Customs and Border Protection CBP Home app to report their departure from the United States. The app provides a safe, secure way to self-deport that includes a complimentary plane ticket, a $2,600 exit bonus, and potential future opportunities for legal immigration.
After the effective date of the termination, the Department of Homeland Security may arrest and deport any Yemeni national without status once their TPS has been terminated. If an alien forces DHS to arrest and remove them, they may never be allowed to return to the United States.
This comes amid the ongoing fight to terminate TPS for Haitian immigrants. As The Gateway Pundit reported, a federal judge earlier this month blocked the Department of Homeland Security from ending the TPS for 350,000 Haitians.
The Justice Department has appealed the ruling to the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

President Trump will deliver remarks to military families at Fort Bragg this afternoon to honor US Special Forces for their role in Operation Absolute Resolve, the mission last month that resulted in the capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro.
First Lady Melania Trump is also traveling with the President to participate in a private military engagement.
Trump sent the US Special Forces into Venezuela just days into the new year, to capture Nicolas Maduro, who is now in a New York prison awaiting trial on charges of narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy, possession of machine guns and destructive devices, and conspiracy to possess machine guns and Destructive Devices against the United States. No American military members were killed in the daring, middle-of-the-night operation.
After Maduro’s arrest in Caracas, Trump posted the following video of the strikes, which targeted at least four sites around Caracas, Venezuela.
WATCH:
Trump has initiated plans to take control of Venezuela’s oil supply and prevent Venezuelan oil from being sold to adversaries of the United States since taking over Venezuela.
Per Fox, “In late January, the U.S. and the interim Rodríguez government signed a massive energy pact. The U.S. has already begun marketing Venezuelan crude oil, with proceeds flowing into U.S.-controlled accounts to be disbursed at the discretion of the U.S. government.”
Trump on Thursday posted on Truth Social, boasting “extraordinary” relations with Venezuela’s new President, Delcy Rodriguez, and the government, as well as cooperation on Venezuelan oil:
Relations between Venezuela and the United States have been, to put it mildly, extraordinary! We are dealing very well with President Delcy Rodriguez, and her Representatives. Oil is starting to flow, and large amounts of money, unseen for many years, will soon be greatly helping the people of Venezuela. Marco Rubio, and all of our Representatives, are doing a fantastic job, but we speak only for ourselves, and don’t want there to be any confusion or misrepresentation. There is a story about a man named Harry Sargeant III in The Wall Street Journal. He has no authority, in any way, shape, or form, to act on behalf of the United States of America, nor does anyone else that is not approved by the State Department. Without this approval, no one is authorized to represent our Country. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP
The President is scheduled to deliver remarks at 1:30 pm ET.
