Unhinged Iranian IRGC Says Any Nation Who Expels US and Israeli Ambassadors Will Be ‘Allowed’ to Navigate the Vital Shipping Route of the Strait of Hormuz
The vital waterways of Hormuz hold the key to a good share of the world’s oil transport.
Who will bow to Iran’s blackmail?
As the US-Israel military confrontation with Iran rages on, the world’s attention turns to the strategic navigation route of the Strait of Hormuz, through which runs around 20% of oil transports.
Any disruption in these waterways can have a profoundly detrimental effect on the global oil trade, leading to higher prices, therefore causing ripples in the world economy.
It is therefore obvious why the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been threatening any cargo ships that attempt the crossing of Hormuz.
But today, the IRGC floated an unhinged statement saying that any Arab or European nation expelling US and Israeli ambassadors would gain ‘full authority and freedom’ to transit the Strait of Hormuz.
The statement, carried by state media, was first reported in the West by the Wall Street Journal (behind a paywall).
Right after the statement, President Donald J. Trump threatened to intensify attacks if Iran stops the flow of oil through the Strait.

International Business Times reported:
“The televised ultimatum attempts to use the world’s dependence on the crucial shipping lane to isolate Washington and Jerusalem. The demand comes as military strikes continue across the region, contrasting sharply with US President Donald Trump’s recent claims that the conflict is drawing to a close.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps outlined the new maritime policy during a broadcast on state television, placing a strict diplomatic price on regional navigation. Military officials stated that full authority and freedom to transit the waterway would be guaranteed to any nation willing to eject the specified ambassadors from their respective capitals.”

“The Strait of Hormuz serves as a critical artery for international energy markets, connecting Middle Eastern oil producers to the rest of the world.
[…] According to the broadcast, the proposal serves as a direct countermeasure to recent strategic moves by the United States. Iranian military officials alleged that President Trump is actively considering taking over the Strait of Hormuz in a bid to unilaterally secure the passage of commercial vessels.”

Australia Grants Asylum to Members of the Iranian Women’s Soccer Team-One Player Makes Last Minute Plea as Players Return Home

Last week, Iran’s Women’s Soccer Team protested the Islamic Regime by refusing to sing the national anthem.
Following their act of defiance, Iranian state media branded them “wartime traitors,” in the midst of the ongoing conflict with Iran.

On Monday, President Trump announced that the Australian government was providing asylum to some members of the team.
He wrote on Truth Social, “I just spoke to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, of Australia, concerning the Iranian National Women’s Soccer Team. He’s on it!”
“Five have already been taken care of, and the rest are on their way.”
“Some, however, feel they must go back because they are worried about the safety of their families, including threats to those family members if they don’t return.”
“In any event, the Prime Minister is doing a very good job having to do with this rather delicate situation. God bless Australia!”
Australian Immigration Minister Tony Burke shared on X, “Last night I was able to tell five women from the Iranian Women’s Soccer team that they are welcome to stay in Australia, to be safe and have a home here.”

On Tuesday, as the remaining members of the team began the trek home, one member made a last-minute plea for asylum.
The New York Post reports:
The last-minute rogue player, who hasn’t been named, made her Hail Mary pitch as the remainder of the team boarded a flight at Sydney airport, sources told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
She was not forced to board the flight.
Yet another player also is seeking asylum — bringing the total number of the team’s soccer aces refusing to return home to seven, officials said.
Five of the seven players have already been officially granted humanitarian visas after leaving the team’s hotel on the Gold Coast under police protection Monday.
Seven members of Iran’s women’s national soccer team have sought asylum in Australia.
Keep that in mind the next time pundits and social-media activists cheer for the Iranian regime.

DC Bar Files Disciplinary Charges Against DOJ Official Ed Martin – DOJ Responds

Justice Department official Ed Martin is facing ethics charges after he sent a letter to Georgetown University Law Center related to its DEI policies.
Ed Martin sent the letter last year while he was Interim US Attorney for DC.
The DC Bar is targeting Ed Martin for pushing to end the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies at Georgetown.
Martin may be sanctioned.
“The DC bar’s attempt to target and punish those serving President Trump while refusing to investigate or act against actual ethical violations that were committed by Biden and Obama administration attorneys is a clear indication of this partisan organization’s agenda,” a statement from the DOJ to CBS said.
CBS News reported:
The office that polices attorney misconduct in Washington, D.C., has filed ethics charges against Justice Department pardon attorney Ed Martin, after Martin last year sent a threatening letter to the Georgetown University Law Center that raised questions about its diversity and inclusion policies while he was serving as interim U.S. attorney, according to court filings made public Tuesday.
In a Feb. 17 letter to the law school, Martin told university officials that a whistleblower claimed Georgetown was teaching DEI and asked about the practice. Without waiting for a response, he told the school he was imposing sanctions by instructing his office staff not to employ any students from the school as fellows, interns or employees at the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington, D.C.
In response, the school’s now-former dean, William Treanor, told Martin, who is a devout Catholic, that his letter represented “an attack on the University’s mission as a Jesuit and Catholic institution.”
In filings made in the D.C. Court of Appeals’ Board on Professional Responsibility dated Friday and made public on Tuesday, Disciplinary Counsel Hamilton “Phil” Fox III of the D.C. Bar alleged that Martin’s conduct as a government official violated the First and Fifth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution by making demands that the law school change what it teaches students and how it teaches them.
Ed Martin was the Interim US Attorney for DC but his confirmation got derailed by GOP Senator Thom Tillis.
Martin is currently the DOJ’s pardon attorney.
